Ronné Patrick Turner joined Washington University in St. Louis as Vice Provost for Admissions & Financial Aid in July 2016.

In her role, Turner is responsible for planning and directing the recruitment of undergraduate students to Washington University, which includes first-year and transfer domestic and international students, and for implementing strategies to increase the strength and diversity of the student body. She also oversees Student Financial Services, which is dedicated to making it financially possible for admitted students to enroll and for enrolled students to graduate.

Prior to WashU, Turner spent nearly 15 years at Northeastern University, where she led and directed undergraduate admission and enrollment for the university’s seven colleges and oversaw the development and implementation of recruitment and enrollment strategies to meet objectives for freshman, transfer, and international students. She also served on the university’s Enrollment Strategy Committee and was responsible for New Student and Parent/ Family Orientation and the International Student and Scholars Institute. In addition, Turner oversaw the Opportunity Scholarship unit, which admitted and supported approximately 75 first-generation students receiving a range of scholarship aid each year.

Prior to joining the Northeastern administration in 2001, Turner worked for more than a decade at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she served in roles including admission counselor, assistant director for freshman admission, and associate director for admission marketing.

Turner also worked as an assistant director of admissions at her alma mater, the Johns Hopkins University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in social and behavioral science. She also earned a master’s degree in social foundations of education from the University of Maryland.

Among her professional associations, Turner currently serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees for the College Board.  She served as Chair of the College Board’s National Counseling and Admission Assembly, and she has held positions with the College Board New England Regional Association.  Turner has also been actively engaged with and held several leadership positions in the National Association for College Admission Counseling, the New England Association for College Admission Counseling, and the Potomac and Chesapeake Association for College Admission Counseling. She was honored in 2011 with the Northeastern University Innovation Award and the Washington University in St. Louis College of Arts and Sciences 2022 Strategic Partnership Award.

Turner lives in Olivette, MO, with her husband, a high school counselor, and her 16-year-old daughter.
