Laurel Baker Tew is the Assistant Head of School for Enrollment at Viewpoint School, a TK-12 independent day school in California, with an enrollment of 1,200 students. Prior to Viewpoint, Laurel worked for 19 years in positions of successive responsibility at the University of Southern California’s Office of Admission, beginning as an Admission Officer and culminating as USC’s Director of Admission. She presents nationally to Heads of School, Boards, and Admission Directors on the topics of enrollment management and enrollment sustainability.

Her school-related Board service includes:  currently, member of the Board of Directors of NBOA (National Business Officers’ Association); previously, past Trustee, Vice-Chair, and Governance Chair of EMA (The Enrollment Management Association); Trustee Emerita at Viewpoint School; and past Trustee at The Wesley School. Laurel is also a member of the selection committee for the Caroline D. Bradley Scholarship program at the Institute for Educational Advancement. 

Laurel is the recipient of the 2022 William B. Bretnall Award given by The Enrollment Management Association for significant contributions nationally to advancing the field of admission and enrollment management.
