CERPP Conference 2018-Toward More Equitable and Expert Practice
January 17-19, 2018 (Marina del Rey, CA)
The annual CERPP Conference explored new and emerging avenues to assess student attributes for admission and success. The premise behind our theme: greater expertise and new indicators of who students are and what they can do will yield both more equitable and expert practice in admission decision-making.
As always, the event brought together leaders promulgating new ideas and approaches in admissions and enrollment management. Our conference hosted almost 180 participants, comprised of leading graduate and undergraduate admission deans, campus enrollment policy makers, higher education scholars, K-12 educators, and state and federal policy makers.
2018 Conference
The Chronicle of Higher Education. January 21, 2018. “From 37,000 feet, 5 questions about college admissions. Eric Hoover, senior writer, highlighted his five big takeaways from the conference.
Education Week. January 19, 2018. “A new push to use student projects in college admissions.” Catherine Gewertz, associate editor, focused on the potential of performance-based learning by the Learning Policy Institute and other efforts to reshape college admissions policies.
