Become an Adviser

We do not currently have any open positions. If you are not yet a college graduate but are interested in future positions, please complete this interest form to receive hiring updates. You may also want to check with our sister Corps throughout the nation.

Would you like to be one of our advisers? The USC College Advising Corps recruits exceptional university graduates to serve two years as college advisers.

While USC graduates are welcome, you do NOT have to be a graduate of USC.

Advisers are full-time USC employees and serve 37.5 hours a week in a low-income, high-needs high school in Alhambra, El Monte, Compton, Downey, Lynwood, Los Angeles, Long Beach, West Covina, and Garden Grove Unified School Districts.

  • Are you a recent university graduate? Again, you do NOT have to be a graduate of USC but any four-year university.
  • Are you, or will you be living in the areas we serve?
  • Do you have a valid CA drivers license and/or reliable transportation to and from work?
  • Do you have a passion for advising youth on how to get into college?

If you answered “Yes!” to all of the above questions, apply now.
