New Partnerships

The Southern California College Advising Corps (SCCAC) is always exploring potential expansion to new districts. Based at USC’s Center for Enrollment Research, Policy, and Practice (CERPP), SCCAC places recent college graduates in high schools to serve as full-time college advisers. In 2014-15, our sixteen college advisers directly assisted over 3,900 students in submitting over 16,200 college applications! See the 2014-15 Impact Report for more details.

If you’re interested in becoming a SCCAC partner district, please first thoroughly read about our SCCAC program and determine if it would be a good fit for your schools. Please then complete the application below by February 10, 2017.

Partner Schools receive a fully trained, full time college adviser.

  • The adviser serves a two-year term, after which a new adviser will take his/her place.
  • Advisers directly assist students with all things college—research, selection, application, SAT/ACT, FAFSA, Dream Act, scholarships, EPT/ELM, SIR, enrollment, and beyond.
  • Advisers are also tasked with helping build the college-going culture on campus.
  • They also have a modest budget with which they organize a school-wide college celebration annually called Decision Day.
